I have several W2K servers. on all I have installed the IIS FTP service, disabled anonymous logon, and created a local account for FTP purposes.
I have Sharp multifunction copier/scanner/printer which I use to scan to FTP.
on all servers this works fine. the FTP account has list and write rights to certain dirs, and the scans are placed fine.
Just 1 server, is not logging out ! if I configure the sharp to scan to one of the other servers (also FTP) it works fine. just if it FTP's to the local server, it logs in, places the scan in the folder, and then does NOT log out, so in the end it times out (I have set that now to 30 seconds) and is disconnected, and then if another scan was done, that scan is now placed and disconnected after the timeout.
The Sharp has been replaced by another (same model) and the problem still persist, so it is related to the server.
I have uninstalled the FTP and installed again, but no luck... if I manually log in with the ftp account, all works fine, and "bye" closes the session properly again...
HELP ANY IDEA WHAT THIS CAN BE ?????
