When I try to run a very simple SELECT query in SQL 2008, I get this:

Code:
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------

Failed to start debugger

------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. (mscorlib)

------------------------------
BUTTONS:

OK
------------------------------

What does it mean? What can I do? I Googled for an answer, but can't find anything that pertains to this. I'm a veteran of SQL 2000, but we skipped 2005 and went right to 2008 recently. I have very little experience working in 2008.

Is your installation went OK? No errors? If no errors, may be stop the service and restart and see if it makes any difference.

HTH

Is that "Visual Studio 2008 Remote Debugger"?

Firewall was blocking the debugger.

Fixed now.
