Hi,

We migrated a system from a G3si to S8500 / G650.

They have a problem on several fax machines (across 3 cards).

The can all send faxes however they don't receive faxes; on the incoming call the fax machine simply doesn't answer the call. (On list trace station it shows the call ringing at the fax machine but never gets answered)

They tried plugging in a standard phone to the problem extensions, the phone rings and they can answer the call all ok.

They then connected a brand new fax machine in place of one that didn't answer and it answered ok.

They then connected one of the machines that wouldn't answer a call to a BT line directly and it works, re-connect it to the phone system and it doesn't answer?

Any ideas? Does this sound like a low voltage issue?

Any info suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Dave.

Are you using station type: k2500

This is meant for faxes even tho' type 2500 works most of the time.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I just changed one of them to K2500,

but it has the same issue, any other ideas?

try a status env x for the port networks

are your voltages set to 25hz (Europe)? not sure if this would fix your issue but worth a shot

when you connect the new fax do you use the same RJ45 adapter

what firmware are your medpros on
what is page 2 of your ip-codec set to

Put the faxes on an 8 port pack, it is a voltage issue.

Mike
