Today i was playing with the NET command, and to my surprise. I found two user accounts that does not show up under User Accounts (In Control Panel).
I'm thinking those accounts came form my ISP (cable) one is called HelpAssistant and the otherone Support.I think so because the same accounts are on a different computer that uses the same provider. Both use XP
I wanted to delete them using the net user command, but my main concern is not that, i can do it (if im sure i can without any further complications). The thing is
How did they Create those accounts?
And how come, they Don't show up in Windows and they show up under net user?
I never knew about his one....i don't know if this is an XP thing, or what...
If anyone know anything about this...please i would love to know about it...
THanks a lot in advance!!! A+, MCP, CCNA

Nothing to do with your ISP - these are Remote Assistance accounts.
Even if RA is disabled they still appear - you can delete them but RA will *never* work again. I would leave them alone.

i found out...both accounts are created by XP itself..
Now how they dont show up in User Accounts (COntrol PAnel), is there something in the registry? A+, MCP, CCNA

Look here

Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->
Computer Management -> System Tools -> Local Users and Groups

Those are built in accounts in Windows XP. If you look in computer management, you will notice them there, under users. While I haven't tried deleting them, you are probably better off just disableing them (and all guest or non-actively used accounts).
Help Assistant Account = Remote Desktop Help Assistant Account
Support = This is a vendor's account for the Help and Support Service Jordan Riske MCSE, A+

Disabling Remote Assistance will disable the accounts automatically - I wouldn't directly touch them.
