Weigh scales

Hi, anybody used vb to interface with Hampel weigh scales through the rs232 port??

Any help / guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I played around with an NCI scale a while back (never did use it though) you need to know the communication settings baud rate etc and the command codes the scale sends and reads. I used a comm control and it was fairly easy once I knew the proper codes. Unfortunately i don't have any of my code around.

Yep, figured as much. I am using the MSCOMM control and tested it with a modem and it's fine, but I get nada from the scales.

Guess I'll have to email the manufacturer for the protocol and stuff.

I found the manual for the nci scale i was using on line with a google search.
