Websphere not starting after db2 upgrade

after db2 memory(hardware) upgrade, websphere app server 3.5 is not starting, both machines are on AIX. But when we change teh date to teh previous date, websphere starts with no problem. After starting we were able to change the date back to the current date. What could be the problem?
below is the error message
[04.01.17 10:30:09:451 GMT] XMLConfig X Error: Unable to
resolve hostname!

Your error is saying that it cannot resolve hostname, not anything about the date.
