I hope this is the right place to put this...
We have a bunch of intranet applications running on our local network (Win2K, IIS 5.0). We want to set up a second server with copies of our applications, so that we can change the DNS settings and bring down the main server, while the secondary one hosts the web-apps.
I know we can synchronize the actual files to ensure that both servers have the most recent versions. But some of the applications are only accessible to a small group of people, which is detailed in the application's security settings. Is there any way to synchronize the security settings between the two servers, without explicitly setting the security on the secondary server?
