webmail application?

Hey all,

I am setting up an intranet for an environmental organisation (

that has a heap of volunteers. They may jump on any computer on the LAN to do their work.

I want to set up a webmail (e.g. Hotmail, Yahoo) system for internal email especially, and external email via VPOP3 mail server for some.

Does anyone know of a cheap (free?) webmail app so I don't have to reinvent the wheel by writing it from the ground up. This is a love job for people who do good work for the planet.

Any suggestions most welcome and muchly appreciated.
