Was there a license I was missing to get this to work? I'm 2:30am, so I'm sorry if this is a RTFM question. I have gone through it many times, and I thought I had everything I needed.

Yup, the box is checked. Also just to test,when I selected the user to be a "basic user", the option for Web Services was grayed out, which is correct since I never had a UMS Web Services license.

The licenses are valid btw.

I have tried navigating to the site via the VM Pro server, and a remote client. Both get the same message.

In the event viewer I get this:

Well sort of. This was 4.2 previously, without IIS.. Before upgrading to 6.0, I installed IIS and ASP.net

After pissin' with it for awhile, I uninstalled VMPro, rebooted, repaired the install for IIS, rebooted, re-installed VMPro, rebooted. That's where I am at right now.

Under Voicemail Pro Help -> About, it shows it's running.

Yeah... That's the other thing.. We have a policy based McAfee running. I can't simply right click, disable. It's enabled via computer policy. Any ideas what exe's I would need to unblock for this?

I'm not sure if it's related or not but I have also started using the One-X Portal, and for some reason under the Admin section of One-X Portalnthe VOICEMAIL-Provider- under the components sits at Starting, and is always red.

Even so, I can use One-X Portal to play voicemail messages. But, I can't access the greetings part, says voicemail is currently unavailable.. Which is weird because I see all my messages on the main screen.

I would be inclined to uninstall IIS / vm pro etc and start from scratch.

like CCC and installing in the wrong order. it just doesnt work!

So you have a VMPro machine which have policy's on it ?
Tell that IT guy to remove those policy's because it otherwise will not run.
There is no need for policy's on a machine that is dedicated to be a VMPro machine and there are no users that use it for daily use.

I will install on a new machine tonight.. unfortunately all machines in their company have anti-virus, even all the servers. It's part of their image. I have had CCC and VMPro running without issue on them in the past. I'll try an install on a fresh box.

I think starting fresh is the only way forward (god I sound like Avaya)

In my experience, you will spend more time banging your head against the proverbial wall - as opposed to just rebuilding the OS and starting again.

While RTFM at 2am during the installation, I vaguely remember there being a section where I needed to configure IIS with a couple different options according to the docs.. I can't remember doing that, and now I can't find where it said that.

That could be part of the problem.. Hopefully..

Just doing this until I get my fresh box up and running.

Sounds to me like PHP is not installed or has the incorrect directories listed in the PHP.ini files or something is amiss in php.ini.

Does c:\php folder exist?

Look in php.ini and make sure that directory structure is correct:

BTW if you have a copy of winspm you can run file compare. I suppose that there could be many apps that have file compare.
