Web Query Does Not Display Table

Using Excel XP and creating a Web query from a page such as MSN.com or CNN.com to extract the Dow index, we do not get the Dow info. Instead, it appears that the data that is returned to Excel is advertising. When in the Web query dialog box, it does appear that the "table" is selected with the checkbox/green box. If you have XML or HTML knowledge, can you try this and see what happens?
