I need to use SQL 7's web publishing capability to create "static" web pages that are refreshed nightly. I'd prefer to use a custom template to display the data as opposed to having SQL create a page for me.

My question is, how does one format an HTML table to accept the recordset that SQL generates? I seem to remember "Begin data" and "End Data" HTML tags (or something to that effect) but I can't find documentation on them anywhere.

Any formatting hints for SQLs web publishing idiosyncracies will be appreciated.

SQL BOL contains this info about using a template file.

Using HTML Template Files

To receive query results, use your own HTML template file. A template file is any HTML file with the marker <%insert_data_here%> to indicate where the query results should be inserted. If you use an alternate character set, you need to insert the necessary meta tag information specifying the character chosen into the Web page manually.

Thanks, Terry.

I'll try adding the ASP tag to my template table.
