Have been getting this information message in the system event log of my NT 4.0 PDC for a while now, but it wasn't a big problem (plus I've had more pressing concerns), so I've ignored it. However, last night, I had literally hundreds of these messages in the log, at least two to three times a minute. It's Event ID 125 and here's the message:
The Web Proxy service received 15 request(s) from the internet port during the past 69 seconds while internet publishing was disabled.
I can't really find much on this error. Does anyone know what this is?
P.S. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but I first started seeing this message intermitantly after installing the patch for the Code Red Worm. Me: We need a better backup system.
My boss's boss: Backup? We don't need no stinkin' backup!
