Hi all,
I use Photoshop 6 with a PC (yes...) with Windows XP.
I've used the Automation Web Gallery tool sucessfully before, though it's a bit stiff. But after I had to reformat my PC after a total crash and reinstall all my software this part of Photoshop szeized to work... It creates the images and the files. But all the htm files are empty! The pages and the index and the frameset!
I'm puzzeled - anyone out there how knows why and what I can do to fix it.
I like to use this tool to do my family photos and don't like to spend a ton of time on it...
thanks all !!!
Anne

Sounds odd - were any of the original pictures huge? It's always seemed very stable to me

No, it's always the same setting from my Olympus Camedia, the same that used to work fine before. But I do get a message at the end, before it opens in the browser (blank), that 'Photoshop could not open some of the files'. That used to only happen if the same folder contained a .mov file as well, but now it happens even without any other files in the folder. However, all the images get reformatted and appear fine in their new folders, it's just the html that seems to be empty...

just to let you know: I fixed the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop. I still don't know why it wasn't working in the first place, but reinstalling it did the trick. I'm using a freeware for the web photo album for the family pictures which works much better than the photoshop photo gallery. It's called IrfanView at . It's really easy to use, and the results are much more userfriendly than those created by Photoshop. Of course hand building gives more design freedom, but for a quick, easy, good looking page this program works like a dream!
thanks for your help,
Anne
