I am looking for the Macromedia equivalent of Microsoft's "Web Matrix." With "Web Matrix," I was done with a Web Services provider and a Web Services consumer in about 60 minutes of work. They didn't feature a lot of animation, but they were medium-attractive in a businessy way, and DONE! I didn't need to go to a training course, or buy anything at all.
OTOH, Web Matrix is still in release 0.5 beta, has a lot of bugs even for Microsoft, and doesn't natively support Microsoft's Red Headed StepChild, Access. In short, it shows every evidence of being an RHS itself -- probably MS doesn't want to it compete with their own .NET products.
Our agency already works with Flash, and CF, and Dreamweaver, and they are great tools. We are getting very, very leary of all things Microsoft, and I would love to be able to say there's a Macromedia-based tool with gee-whizness equivalent to Web Matrix.
Has anyone tried Web Matrix? Can I do something like that in MacromediaLand without doing a bunch of hand-coding?
Ron
