Web folder access / setup

in school last week we had a company upgrade our servers to W2K they said that they had setup web floder access from outside school. we semb to be able to get access to the folders but they are appearing in an FTP style setup and cannot access the folders to send work back into the folders and also read from them properly. have you any suggestions to what may be wrong. several other sites that we have access to have the web folders opening just like a normal folder and you can cut and paste into the folders create new folders etc this is the method that we require and are trying to get to.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated
