We have this problem where our users are using several vb application created by an ex employee who withheld the source code from the company.

So bascially we are trying to find a way to hack into the application to get the source code as it would be much easier and less time consuming than re-creating these applications.

Does anyone know of any utilities out there that we can use to help us do this?

Thanks

its vb 5.

so i cant believe that there is no utility to assist in this - maybe i need to go check out the hackers websites.

thanks

They can't help you get to the source code of an exe. Once it's compiled all the sourcecode is gone

Fine. Believe what you wish. Sadly, you are incorrect.

I would change "Sadly" (perhaps) to Happily!

If it is really a former employee, the recourse is legal action - depending on the 'terms of endearment (Employment | indentured servitude | ... }'. If it is hacking then it is truly a happy day!
