my tv is pretty close to my moniter and when i turn on the tv...it makes these waves on my moniter closest to where the tv is. Also, whenever i put a fan close to the moniter..it makes those weird moving waves on the screen also...is this bad for my moniter? oh yeah really loud speakers close to it makes the waves also.

What you are seeing is the magnetic fields of those items as they get close to your monitor.
short term - as long as they are constantly changing, no they will do no damage, it justs look odd
long term - if you have a consistant field, it may alter the screen on the monitor, so that you get areas blue\green
sometimes deguassing will help.
most pc speakers have shielding to prevent the interference
