Want to copy a cell down a column without number increase

When I drag a cell down the number increases. Can I turn this off?

If you want to keep to fill the cells with the same number hold ALT whilst dragging

The easiest way to do this is to press and hold the Ctrl key while dragging.

Clarification... Use the Alt key on a number and the numbers repeat themselves. Use the Ctrl key and the numbers will increment. This works just the opposite with dates!
