Is it possible to have a LAN to LAN connection via a VPN and still have shared Internet access for the local LAN. It seems that once the VPN is established, the ability to browse the Internet is lost because of the tunnel. If the VPN connection is being made over a T1 line to the Internet, can the T1 be partitioned so that a part of it if dedicated for the VPN and a part of it is dedicated for the shared Internet connection? Can someone explain? Thanks.

i think this depends much on the vpn server(s)

if you get an ip "on the other side", make sure you also get a gateway, or assign it manually, then you probably can reach the internet via the other side

if the vpn-server and the router is the same box on both sides, you may have to install a router to get "around" it
