We have recently setup a frame relay WAN that connects to our LAN. Since doing so we have discovered a problem coping files from the client PC to file shares on the server (windows 2k). This problem occurs only on XP client PC's.
When coping file of aound 1meg or over to mapped network drive on server or visa versa it will attempt to do so for around a minute before stating "The specified network drive is no longer available"
This is not a problem with XP on the LAN nor is it a problem with win95,98,2000 PC's on the WAN. Everything we've tried points to the problem being on XP across the WAN - we even used citrix client running on an XP desktop and could copy a local file on the XP PC to the server and back again.
The Telecoms company providing the WAN have done various network tests say there's no fault with the network/routers and the problem lies with XP
Any help would be gratefully appreciated as this is causing us major problems
