W3422 Errors

I have started getting two errors appearing in my backup logs

W3422 Unable to save the registry key. (KEY=Software, EC=No system resources)

W3422 Unable to save the registry key. (KEY=Software, EC=Registry IO Failed)

I am running Arcserve WG Edition V7 with SP5 installed on W2000 server, there has been no change to our system yet this error started about a week ago and is occuring every night.

Any Suggestions?

Just a guess but check
Control Panel / System / Advanced / Performance Options / Registry Size.

The registry is at 52Mb and the limit is set to 90 Mb. The backup job was fine today, I only seem to get this fault every second or third day.

When the backup fails with the same error again, check if you are able to backup the system state/registry using NTBACKUP..
