All,
I recently took over three servers doing backups. One is doing a local only (exchange server) and the other two are local/remote. All are running ArcServe 2000 (build 1086) with open file agant and the exchange agent (where applicable).
I've been through CA's website and have done the following:
-made sure that there is a seperate account for backups
-backup user is a member of domain admins and backup group
-backup group and/or user has full rights to the arcserve share and the directory
-initialized the databases -- this worked for one of the boxes.
Also, I am no longer able to do brick level backups. The error is that the user is invalid or that the user failed to logon.
Thanks to all,
eric
