Users dial up to a router which passed on radius authentication to Cisco server. The CIsco server has died and in the short term I am trying to configure one of the W2K3 DC's as a RAS server.
Have used Routing & Remote Access wizard to set up RAS. Have set to Windows Authentication & Windows Accounting as I have no experience of Radius settings. This server is also the DHCP server and has a scope for dial in users so I have set to use DHCP in RRAS. Otherwise gone with defaults.
Have pointed the router to the W2K3 server for authentication, however I do not know if I have to tell it to use MS-CHAPS for authentication or how to if this is the case. (Network manager on holiday). The router config currently says RADIUS still. When I try to dial in I get a 691 invalid username/domain error.
Any Help or pointers in the right direction much appreciated.
