Hello!

I've got a rather strange problem. Here it is:

I go to log into my Windows 2003 Server. I type in the username/password and the login process begins. At this point, it starts loaging my personal profile settings, then tells me it's logging me off. I've tried to get onto the system via 3 different users and the same thing happens to each. I've had this happen on both a fresh install and a re-imaged drive.

Any ideas how to remedy this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi

Try setting verbose logging on the machines using group policy. this will tell you exactly what is happening during the logon process

hope this helps

Dave

JiggyPoo,

I'm experiencing the same problem on my windows 2003 server. Were you able to resolve this problem? If so, please help.

Lepiste -

The system I was setting up was a multi-boot machine. I was running Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Pro. I found that if I installed WindowsXP and didn't go back into Windows 2003 after the install it would do this.

What is your situation? Please let me know if you are doing something similiar to me.

JiggyPoo,

I have 3 windows 2003 server set up in a web farm. The servers has been up and running for months w/o any problem. Then I tweaked the registry to configure it for autologon. I've done this a million times with windows 2000 but this was the first time with windows 2003.

Anyways, now when I logged onto the server by entering username/password. It instantly save my settings, logged me off and brings me back to the logon screen. I've tried this with the domain administrator account, local administrative account and as a regular domain account.

I was able to get into the registry remotely and undo my changes that I made for autologon but it did not solve my problem.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
