W2K Upgrade Question

Got an HP LPR server running NT Server 4.0 which I need to upgrade. Pop in my W2K Server CD and select "Upgrade" only to get a message that the "HP NetRaid-4M Controller" is not compatible. Need to upgrade driver. Problem is, there is no 4M installed in the machine!!!! There may have been in the past (before I showed up) as I can see numerous HP drivers in c:\winn\system32\drivers

This server has a single 18gb drive. What exactly is happening during setup.exe which discovers this "4M controller"? The setup fails and I can't continue. Any idea's as to what I can clean up to reflect during the setup.exe that there is in fact NO controller installed?

can you remove the lpr server settings so you don't have any printers, get rid of the drivers then try the upgrade? (Careful though, you may not get the lpr printing back this way) Glen A. Johnson

This server isn't a print server so I should be ok. I think that is what I have to do, remove the drivers. How would I go about doing so? How do I know which drivers are HP NetRaid specific?
