I have a P3 866/248M RAM with 2 IDE hdds 10GB each. I run W2K Pro w/SP2 on it, and it works fine except that I can't get to delete any file or shortcut without having to wait several minutes.
Now that I remember I also have problems to cut/paste files, I get access errors, so I have to copy and then *try* to delete the originals, usually having to end explorer task and restart it.
The machine's turned on all day all night and this morning it was frozen (first time since I installed W2K months ago) so I'm fearing it could be some problem with the HDD.... (the second one I installed it a couple of months ago).
I don't use an antivirus but I'm very careful - I do use a firewall so i'm quite confident about that.
I will investigate more but any tip or similar experience will help. Thanks a lot.
