Could someone please tell me how to upgrade
the W2 print file to comply with the new formats?
I can't seem to find a solution as the new form
requires that the employee name be printed
with first name and initial in one box and the
last name in another box. I have downloaded
and activated the Jan 15, 2002 tax update, but
the W2 specification file is unchanged.
I can modify the specification file OK but there
are no separate codes for the first, middle and last
name. Help would be much appreciated.
