vsphere 5.5 - proerties grayed out

Just completed the install and realized all vms editing options of the devices is greyed out. Any reason this would happen? I loggoed on with admin priviledges as well as elevated rights.

Do you mean the ability to change hardware settings? These will unavailable to edit while the VM is running.

Sorry. I am an idiot. Somehow i thought the memory can be chanced while the vm is running much like the drives and anything else. Thanks much smah.

One thing to remember with ESXi 5.5, all of the new features are ONLY available using the web client. Also, once you update the hardware version of your virtual machines, you will only be able to edit settings in the web client. I was told by a VMWare rep that in version 6, due probably about this time next year, will only be accessible by the web client. The vSphere client is going away.
