Can I fource anonymouse useres to be chroot to my /var/ftp/pub directory.

by default they are set to /var/ftp & this contains various directories that I do not want to be visible. I have already set my permisions to block access to these directories but would prefer it if they did not show in the directory list.

I am sure there is, unfoutunatly I do not know what it is & cant seem to find it.

Try: man vsftp.conf and look for anon_root.h

Thanks I will give it a try, If it works (& I am sure it will) a star is on its way

It wasnt included in the default vsftp.conf file, but once I added it things worked exactly as I wanted
thanks again
