vsFTP connect problems

Hi All,

I got problems on a SUSE Linux 8.1 Box. It's working with vsftpd. My Problem is that I could not connect with a user which is known in the system. User and Password are correct, 'cause we could connect via telnet.
But this user was not able to ftp in.
We checked /etc/ftpusers (is not there - so all users are allowed), vsftpd.conf - is all okay, pam.d/vsftpd seems okay too.
What else can force the problem ?
