VS 2003.net Install

I just installed visual studio .net 2003 on my WinXP Pro service pack 2 pc.

When trying to create new application, it says I don't have asp.net 1.1 installed. I thought this came with the pre-reqs on the dvd, guess is does not.

I installed the asp.net 1.1 download from asp.net but still get the same error.

In addition, I can no longer create sites using visual interdev 6.0, getting a server error(error code = 80070005) error.

I am looking for help on both issues, please advise if you can.

I have now gotten past the asp.net 1.1 error, but am getting the following error now:

http/1.1 500 server error.

I have searched google, tried a few things, but nothing has worked so far.

Help is appreciated.

If I go to IIS, i can browse the html files, but not asp files, asp files are giving the same error:

HTTP 500 - Internal server error
Internet Explorer

do you have the .aspx extension mapped in IIS?
