HELP..... Over the past 12 months, there have been 2 posts (that I could find) where people were able to get a VPNRemote phone to link up with a Linksys RV042. The one person hasn't logged in for over 7 months and the other kind of disappeared before he could create a FAQ (step-by-step process) on how to do it.

I've found several posts were people asked if it could be done, and they too reference these articles from the past. I thought I'd start a new one with the official question, and hopefully the official answer...

Unfortunately, based on the info in the posts saying they could get it done, I've purchased one and been unable to get it to work. Heck, I even tried a Netgear FVS124G, which allows the tunnel to be built, but no data to travel onto the public network (thus the phone just says DISCOVERING).

ANY help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Sorry, meant "Private Network" not "Public Network", when talking about the netgear... It was late. :)

Anyone, anyone (ala: Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller) :)

Sorry, I'm not sure that I understood your question, is the remote phone in another site with a VPN (With a static IP Address or Dynamic).

Dynamic. In my testing, its on a public network. I know its not a firewall issue on the phone's side. But, in general, if someone could post their phone and RVxxx settings on their Linksys, that would help.
