Hi !
I have the following problem:
I cannot use the Contivity (or anny other VPN client) to connect to a VPN box on the internet.
Current network:
I have a Contivity 600 as my gateway on my network. The firewall is enabled in the Contivity box with "alow all policy", and there is a NAT rule. Browsing, e-mailing and so on is not a problem. I can also connect to the box with a VPN client from home.
If i put my machine on a public IP so that it is "outside" the contivity box it is possible for me to connect to the VPN concentrator in the other end.
I do not belive that i am the only one that is sitting behind a Contivity VPN box and need to connect to another Contivity VPN box. I got a tip from a collegue to enable Nat Traversal on the box in the other end (the people in the other end is now starting to see if they want to do that). In my mind it sounds wrong that VPN trafic from the internal net to an external IP should be bloked, by a device that itself understands VPN.
Has you seen this problem, and did you solve it ?

Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little more effort.
