Have quite an interesting setup here, done fairly simple so far. I have Windows XP Pro, I have XP's VPN server setup for incoming connections, plus a netgear 624 router. I connect to the VPN from anywhere which is nice, for some reason though, I can't access any webpages except for the web site hosted on that computer. When all services such as the webserver is removed, I still can't access other sites nor my own obviously. Any idea how to get online with the client machine through the VPN tunnel? The client IP address comes from the router that distributes the internet connection as all computers on the network get it.

Also, was wondering that if I call my house with a computer, my computer will pick up and I'm sure it will connect but will I get internet access by chance?

CDogg,

Have you tried disabling "use defualt gateway on remote network".

On your remote computer...

Hit "Start" then "Settings" then "Control Panel".

Open "Network and dial-up connetions"

Right click your VPN conneciton and hit "Properties"

Select the "Networking" tab.

Double click "Internet protocol (TCP/IP)"

Pick the "Advanced" button.

Under the "General" tab, deslect "Use defualt gateway on remote netowrk".

Let me know if this works.

Yes, actually that does work, which I thought might, but was wondering if there is a way to make it work without doing that. Doesn't matter too much really. But mainly concerned if I dialup through the 56K modem in my computer from another computer if I'll get on the internet, seeming as how I'm not going through the internet to get the VPN, I'm physically calling the computer. Think that might work?
