My co-worker & I are in a remote office and connect to our company's network via a VPN, using the Cisco VPN Dialer. Since mid-morning two days ago, we have been unable to connect via our high-speed internet connection. Using the dialer, we enter our user name & secure ID. It appears to authenticate us. Then it gets to "Negotiating Security Policies" and just hangs. After the 90 second timeout, we get the "Remote Peer Terminated Connection" message.
Any ideas? My IT crew seems stumped. Here a few tidbits:
- My co-worker can use a dial-up connection to get on the VPN, but no success using the high-speed connection.
- We are each directly connected; there is no router.
- This connection has been working flawlessly for the last seven months; it appears something just changed two days ago.
