I am trying to set up a VPN connection between my laptop and home network. Even though the home computer (Windows XP) is setup to receive incoming requests when I try to connect with the laptop (Windows ME) it doesn't see the computer. Is this a problem with the IP address or the setup? Is the IP address the local (router DHCP assigned) one - or does the router itself have an IP address? The router is from Corega which is a Japanese company, therefore I can't read the Japanese manual but am hoping that this might be a universal problem/solution. For the rest the router works fine in the LAN.
I would appreciate any ideas/lessons/help -
