vpn setup with 2 x XP computers

I'm trying to learn more about remote access in order to be able to work from home. I have a small network running of a PC with winXP connected to the net via a usb adsl modem. I want to access this computer from home via a dial up connection. I thought using the wizards that all was set up correctly, but I cant get a connection. Any ideas as to what

So what happens when you try to connect?? You should see an error message. Report the error number and the text.

Thanks for the reply. I get error 800: unable to establish the VPN connection.

I ommitted to mention the Norton Firewall that I haven't modified settings on, as I am unsure as to what if anything needs changing
