I need to have a user make a VPN connection into my network and have access to one shared folder only. I do not want this user to be able to do anything else. How can I accomplish this?

Thanks for the help.

Not sure if this is the best way, but you could just give that user a specific IP when he VPN's and only give that access to the specific server. The share permissions would be set by you on the server.

It depends on your VPN setup. Rudeboy's method is probably the best for you. Cisco VPN equipment can create access-lists dynamically for each user, which is cool. I don't know what else would have that flexibility.

Checkpoint has that flexibility, and many more vpn features which cisco equipment currently doesn't support.

On the other hand, troubleshooting it's vpn client across different versions is a complete pain
