I have been having problems with VPN connection and windows authentication to a SQL server. Whenever I try to open a program that accesses the SQL server I get "Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a truster SQL server connection". The same program works fine when run on any computer on the physical network.

My setup is as follows

HOME PC
|
firewall
|
Server1
|
SWITCH
|
SERVER2

Server1 is the domain controller running Win2k server, ISA and RRAS

server2 is the SQL server

VPN connection connects fine through the firewall to the RRAS server, and I can access anything on Server1. The first time I try to access file shares on Server2 I am asked for my login info, and the sql connections never work over VPN for the reason listed above.

Any ideas on what could be causing these problems?

yes, the remote users connect fine, it's just authentication to server2's file system and SQL server that are the problems.
