VPN Phone to PIX 501

by request I will start a new thread on this. ( the other thread was actually started by a coworker)


I am trying to get a PIX 501 version 6.3(5)
and a VPNPhone to work

the IPOFFICE ( 406) is at 4.2.11
the VPN phone is what ever is packaged with 4.2.11 on the CD

I am close and any help with this would be great.

I have a PIX 501 and a 5610 vpn phone

I finally got the phone to connect but the display was messed up / no buttons working, name and extension flashing alternating...
but I could make calls, so close

then I reboot the phone and it fails to reconnect: IKE Phase1 fail no response

I did not let it download new configs ( I doublecheck the config and it is the same )

and the PIX seems to show an IKE tunnel still up but no IPSEC tunnel even through I have the phone unplugged for hours...


any suggestions?

Have you set the following in the pix?

no fixup protocol h323 h225 1720
no fixup protocol h323 ras 1718-1719

yes I have issued those however
I am not much of a Pix guy ...
an other company set up this pix so I am working with limited knowlage on the device -
