Hi all,

I probably don't have enough information to ask this question correctly but here goes -

When establishing a "road warrior"-type VPN connection (laptop in the field, etc) to the central office, can the traffic be seen on the Internet? Say for example that someone was monitoring the traffic passing through a router somewhere; would that person be able to determine the source and destination (IP addresses) of the VPN-encrypted (use an IPSEC VPN for this scenario) traffic?

Thanks

Yes. The source and destination would be your laptop and your VPN gateway. They would not see the actual addresses of your internal servers.
