Hello,
I have a home network with three PC's. Two Clients(win98 en win2k) and a win2k server. The servers has two NIC's one for the LAN (192.168.0.*) and one connecting to the cable modem.
I have a DNS and DHCP service assigned to the LAN NIC. The internet is routed using Routing and Remote Access (NAT). I have also set up VPN in the routing and remote access. Now I have two problems:
1) When somebody from outside my LAN connects to my VPN. He gets an IPadres from my DHCP server, but he doesn't get the DNS server. So we can't ping each other using names. How can this be solved. I first thought I also had to assign my DNS server to my Internet NIC, but that doesn't sound logical, because the DHCP works fine.
2) The server is a PDC and I want the person who connects to my LAN using VPN, to be seen in the network neighbourhood. Can this be done, and if yes how? I think it has something to do with lmhosts. But I'm not sure and I don't know how to set this up.
