Scenario:
I have two VPN endpoints using Linksys BEFSX41, site A has 6 computers on XP Pro and site B has 2 computers (one wireless with WAP connected to Linksys VPN router) also run XP Pro.
Computers on both sides have folders enables for network sharing.
Site A has a private subnet address scheme 192.168.1.x and site B has 10.10.10.x. Both sites have the same workgroup name. DHCP is disabled on the WAP/router of site B, which connects to BEFSX41 VPN router.
Both sides has DSL modems, dynamic ip, and use FQDN from one of service provided through router (dynamic dns)to connect the VPN. VPN tab of routers connect fine and say "connected".
Problem:
1)From site A, i cannot see the computers on site B in the "view workgroup computers" of XP. At one point they came up, but access denied. Then they were gone all together. Why can i no longer see them.
2) When i get first problem solved, Can i run an application from remote site over a VPN or is going to be too slow?
thanks in advance for any assistance.
