VPN clients loose access to internet

I have a Windows 2000 server running routing and remote access and server as a NAT router providing internet connectivity to an internal network. When clients connect to the local network using VPN they loose the ability to connect to the internet. The clients are Windows 2000 or Windows XP, is there anyway this setup can be configured to all clients to be connected to both the internet and the corporate network simultaneous; if so how is it done?
