VPN Authentication Help

I'm trying to set up VPN access into our office and whilst I can connect and be authorised on a machine that has not been registerd on our domain or I have logged on to the local machine, if I use a laptop that has been registered in AD I cannot get authorised. The RAS is a Windows 2000 server which is also the DC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
