VPN Access Win XP Pro

Hello I am haveing an issue with VPN Access to the work place. There is cable access to the internet for local access & I have a VPN Connection into the office. However when I am not useing the VPN it keeps prompting me for the VPN Connection info. I have checked the IE options & they are set to never dial. Does anyone have any ideas on this one. It did just all of a sudden start happening. The only thing that may have taken place was Service Pack 2 was downloaded automatically & installed so I am thinking maybe something with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Several possibilities come to mine, but as a first step to resolve this:

. revert the SP2 install, and then test your system:

. then install SP2, but do not use Windows Update. Use a CD image, available free and usually quite quickly:

Thanks for the info I appreciate it! I may try doing that if I cant dig & find anything else. I found alot more settings under the VPN connection properties that may be coming into play. They were not there I dont beleive prior to SP2. Looking into that now!

Well I rolled Back to prior to SP2. My Problem is still around now. So I am not sure what is happening. To co-incidental that it all started right after I installed SP2. Now I am not sure where to go
