We have a user who would like to connect to his Novell directory stored on a Novell server from his home. Has anyone experience this before. If so, is the setup the same. Can the user just have the Novell client on his pc and establish the tunnel and be able to access his novell files.

In a simple sense, yes. In my experience, Netware problems via remote access usually involve the ability to locate the server. Make sure that he has DNS, SLP or a hosts file set up and he should be ok.

lgarner, thanks for your reply. I take it that you have experienced this environment before. If so, would I need to assign DNS setting through the VPN concentrator?

Yes. Depending upon the type of VPN being used, you might be able to change the user' DNS settings to the internal server. That's what I do with a Pix.

If not, it'd be better to make sure SLP is set up. Have a DA running on a server and point the NetWare client to it.

The simplest solution to set up, but the hardest to maintain, is a hosts file on the client PC.
