Does anyone know how I can retrieve, in code, the Volume Serial Number of a hard disk? This is the ID which can be obtained by doing a DIR at the OS command prompt, and is typically something in the format of e.g. 14AB-87F2. I really would like to try and get at this in my VB code. Also, on similar lines, is there a way of retrieveing the serial number/ID for the BIOS and OS ??
Any help appreciated.
