Some clarification please:
We bought a VL for Office XP-Pro (25 users). We also have a few retail version of exactly the same product. According to Microsoft site you need to use a VL media cd to install Office. I have tried to use a normal retail version with our VLK (Key) but it's not functioning. On the site it's also a bit difficult to try and understand what they exactly mean. Can anyone please tell me if that's the case?

You have to buy the CD. The cost is about $30us (have to check latest pricing - it may be less). There is some special keys for VL.

When you get a VL, you get access to a Microsoft web site, where they keep track of all VL that you buy. This is important since after certain amount of licenses, you start getting more dicounts on future purchases. In addition this is an easy way to keep track of all software bought instead of keeping track of paper licenses.

The company that sold you the VL should be able to provide this to you. Else, contact me and I can sell it to you since my company is a Microsoft Partner.
