Voice over IP is telephony over an IP network.
We sold quite a few ipLDK-100 with IP tie lines between two ipLDK-100's and also with LG IP phones.
IP tie lines makes it possible to use the WAN between 2 offices each equipped with an ipLDK-100 - for telephony purposes.
IP phones from LG like LIP-7024 can also be installed in connection with ipLDK-100, so e.g. a remote home worker (with this IP phone) can use the same CO lines as the rest of the users in the ipLDK-100.
To implement VoIP the VOIBE and VOIUE boards are to be installed in the ipLDK-100. Licenses are needed for the tie lines, but not for the LIP phones.
If you want to use softphones instead, then licenses are needed.
